Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

DigiCalc operates digicalc.online. This policy describes how the site handles information and the choices available to you.

Calculator inputs and saved results

Calculations run in your browser. Saved and recently opened calculations, including their input values and results, are stored in your browser's local storage. This storage is not automatically attached to network requests. Someone with access to your browser profile may be able to read it. Clearing the site's browser storage removes these records.

Older versions stored saved and recent calculations in cookies. Those cookies could accompany requests to DigiCalc. When the updated site runs, it migrates those records to local storage and expires the two legacy cookies. An initial request made before that migration may still contain the old cookies.

Sharing

Sharing is optional. A shared link contains calculation settings after the # character; browsers do not send that fragment in the HTTP request to our server. The recipient, their browser extensions, and any service you explicitly share the link or image with can read its contents. Shared images may show inputs and results. Do not share information you want to keep confidential.

Older shared links may contain settings in query parameters, which are sent with the initial request. The site converts those settings to the browser-only fragment after loading. This cannot erase information already sent in an earlier request.

Cookies and optional analytics

Google Analytics loads on the production site before you make a cookie choice. We use Advanced Consent Mode with Analytics and advertising storage denied by default. Before a choice, Google receives cookieless visit and tool-use signals, but Analytics cookies are not read or written. Choosing Accept cookies enables Analytics storage. Google's automatic Enhanced Measurement is disabled; the site sends controlled events.

Choosing Reject optional cookies disables Analytics cookie storage and removes accessible Analytics cookies, but cookieless visit and tool-use signals continue to Google. This choice does not stop all tracking. Google Analytics does not load on local development or preview hosts, or inside embedded calculators. Calculator functionality is unaffected.

Before acceptance, after acceptance and after cookie rejection, signals include page paths, consent status and events such as calculator use, guide links, calendar downloads, guide-reading milestones (25%, 50%, 75% and 90%) and visibility of named sections such as results or references. Network requests also expose your IP address and browser headers to Google; cookieless does not mean no data is sent or guarantee anonymity. After acceptance, Google may set Analytics cookies to recognize visits and report general browser/device and geographic information. We exclude calculation inputs and results, URL query strings and fragments, and detailed referring-page paths from our analytics events. Advertising storage, advertising signals and advertising personalization remain disabled.

We may associate a visit with a predefined campaign identifier, such as a date-tool newsletter link. Only our fixed, approved campaign values are used; arbitrary campaign text, advertising click identifiers and calculation settings are not included.

Change your cookie preferences at any time. To stop both cookieless signals and cookie-based Analytics, select Disable all Google Analytics below. That separate opt-out overrides your cookie choice, stops future collection and removes accessible Analytics cookies; it does not delete previously collected records. Unchecking it resumes Analytics according to your saved cookie choice. Choices are stored locally in this browser. If your browser blocks saving a choice, it applies to the current page but cannot be remembered on later pages.

Saved refusals made under the previous banner, which said rejection stopped all tracking, are preserved as full Analytics opt-outs.

Preferences and hosting

Theme and analytics choices use local storage. Currency and unit preferences use first-party cookies. Cookies are sent to the matching site with requests; they are not a private storage mechanism for calculation inputs.

Our hosting provider processes network information such as IP addresses, requested paths and browser headers to deliver and protect the site. Normal server requests do not contain the fragment of a URL. External resources such as fonts are requested from their providers. We use an origin-only referrer policy to avoid sending page details in outgoing referrer headers.

Contact and third-party services

If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send. We do not sell calculation data. Third-party sites, analytics services and social networks have their own privacy policies. This site is not directed at children under 13.
