How are business days counted between two dates?
Business-day mode counts only Monday through Friday, excluding weekends. Public holidays are not excluded automatically — they vary by country and region — so subtract any that fall in your range.
Why do different tools give different 'months between' answers?
Because months have different lengths, there are several conventions: counting complete calendar months, dividing days by 30.44, or anchoring to the same day-of-month. Tools that pick different conventions disagree by a day or a month near boundaries; the day count is the unambiguous figure.
